American Society of Hematology in the first 2 years has also been reduced by 50% in the rituximab-containing treatment arm. These preliminary findings in a pilot study echo the results of previously published studies in advanced disease and provide a lead for future comparative trials. Although the majority of patients with limited disease can be cured using a brief course of doxorubicincontaining chemotherapy followed by involved-field RT, there is room for improvement. Widely available studies combining targeted drugs with standard treatment offer patients a very real possibility of improved outcome.
